Reflecting the diverse communities of urban Sydney, our artist-led program is ambitious, radical and always inclusive. Carriageworks’ artistic program embraces an extraordinary range of activity across artforms to high levels of national and international acclaim. The program significantly contributes to the visibility of and engagement with Australian contemporary arts practice. Carriageworks is unique in Australia for the scope and number of artistic program and event partner relationships we sit at the centre of. We are home to major event partners: Afterpay Fashion Week Australia, Semi-Permanent, Sydney Contemporary Art Fair, Sydney Festival, Sydney Writers’ Festival and Vivid Sydney. Set within the iconic heritage site of Eveleigh Railway Workshops, our versatile spaces can accommodate bespoke events through to large-scale conferences, exhibitions and expos, activations, customer engagement opportunities and gatherings, cultural and food + wine experiences and offer numerous locations for diverse film and photographic productions.
